WE BELIEVE IN BEING THE CHANGE.
I choose to support people who are improving lives. Whether you're a nonprofit, social enterprise, or another type of social impact company, you’re my people. And so are the folks below. We are in the businesses of doing things differently. Won’t you join us?
Habitat for Humanity Chicago
They’re committed to seeing Chicago thrive. By partnering with committed residents and trusted organizations, they help families and communities achieve strength, stability, and self-reliance through housing, beautification, and development projects.
Project: I re-wrote the majority of their website for a relaunch, which included approximately 30 pages of content. I also provided feedback and suggestions on some of the page names and layouts.
FOR MOMENTUM
As the largest agency in the country solely dedicated to fostering social impact partnerships, For Momentum brings nonprofits and businesses together to collaborate, and raise funds and awareness for the issues they care about. Driven by both results and relationships, their goal is to see their clients, community and culture thrive.
Project: I rewrote their website homepage and services pages.
Atlanta Dream Center
Founded in 2003 by Pastor Paul Palmer and his family, ADC exists for one reason: To reach the lost, rescue those in need, and restore the brokenhearted. They do this through three major ministries, including iAm (homeless individuals), Out of Darkness (women and men who have been trafficked or prostituted), and Metro Kidz (at-risk children).
Project: I helped lead the marketing efforts for their Seeds of Hope and Be the Light annual benefit dinners. I wrote the communications and collateral, created a marketing plan, art directed, formulated an event strategy, assisted in logistics, and wrote the post-event press release.
Dwell
Dwell exists to employ refugees in the community of Clarkston, Georgia. And through the service of cleaning, they employ people who have come to their community from all over the world who are looking to rebuild a better life for themselves and their families.
Project: I wrote their price increase email, which notified all residential and commercial customers that rates would increase to further ensure a livable wage for employees. Additionally, Dwell won my holiday Communications Strategy Session giveaway, so I performed a review of all their marketing and communications, provided feedback, and offered suggestions moving forward.
Be the Bridge
This amazing nonprofit utilizes resources and conversations to further racial reconciliation. They believe that the Church must become a bigger answer to this issue, and are equipping people to host racially diverse small groups that create open lines of communication.
Project: I wrote their #GivingTuesday email and social media campaign, assisted in the launch of their Bridge to Racial Unity Discussion Guide 2.0, and have consulted on their branding and communications strategy. I also managed their social media during their official launch event.
Dr. Bombay’s / The Learning Tea
One of my favorite spots in Atlanta, this darling little tea shop in the Candler Park neighborhood funds “life scholarships” for girls in India. With these funds, girls can go to college, have a safe place to live, and have all their basic needs provided for. (And their chai is my absolute favorite!)
Project: I have consulted on their marketing and communications strategy, and also traveled to India to meet the girls in the program.
Orange
Orange is a division of The reThink Group, a nonprofit organization providing resources and training to help churches maximize their influence on the spiritual growth of the next generation. They have amazing curriculum from birth through adult years and a fantastic series of events for church leaders, volunteers, students and kids.
Project: I served as the Event Marketing Director here for almost six years, so I pop in for odds and ends when they need outside help. Projects often include assisting with book launch marketing and event marketing.
TrueNorth Freedom Project
TrueNorth helps individuals, families, and ministries navigate our sex-saturated culture through resources and conversations. By learning how to talk about sexual issues with grace and compassion, relationships will be strengthened, kids will be better prepared for the challenges, and the Church will become more effective in leading many to true freedom in Christ.
Project: I wrote their 2016 year-end giving campaign, assisted the founder with her speaker one sheet, advised on their event strategy, and consulted on general marketing and communications needs on several occasions.
Vector Global Logistics is changing the world through supply chain. They work with you to find efficient, cost-effective solutions for moving the products you care about from point A to point B. And they believe that your success isn’t only in the profit that you make, but the impact you help create.
Project: I audited their old website and brand message, wrote their new website, provided art direction and design feedback, updated their pitch deck, and gave marketing advice for their updated website and launch. (Website won a 2020 Davey Award!)
