READY TO LAUNCH SOMETHING NEW?

You’re on the verge of something BIG, like a new product, service, fundraising campaign, or event.

You’re excited, both for what it will mean to your organization, and your audience.

But you aren’t sure exactly what to say, how to say it, or even when to say it. There are just so many ducks to get in a row, and you don’t want to miss this new opportunity to make a splash.

THIS. HAS. TO. COUNT.

And if you're thinking that you can market or promote your next big thing with just one or two email blasts and a handful of social media posts, you'll likely be disappointed in your results. It takes a plan, consistency, repetition, and know-how to find the success you want.

What if there were someone with oodles of previous experience that could write the exact words to compel your fans to participate, help you gain new admirers, and frankly, guide you through this often confusing world of launch marketing?

What if you had, not just a writer for your next launch, but a partner?

Oh, hi, there! I'm right here! So glad you found me.

HAVE YOU EVER UTTERED THESE WORDS?

  • “I’m not a writer.”

  • “I don’t know what to say.”

  • “I already have a lot on my plate, and there really isn’t anyone else on staff to handle it.." (Or for my fellow solopreneurs, “Staff, did she just say staff?”)

  • “I don’t really know what I’m doing, and haven’t done a launch before.”

  • “I’ve done a launch before, but I still feel overwhelmed and unorganized.”

  • “I know I need to, but don’t have a plan or strategy behind my launch.”

  • "I wish there was someone who knew our mission, and could communicate it effectively to our tribe."

WHAT IF YOU HAD SOMEONE WHO UNDERSTOOD MARKETING?

As a social impact organization, maybe the word “marketing” has a loaded meaning for you, or maybe you don’t know what the heck it means. But it boils down to the relationship you have with your current and prospective clients, and your ability to communicate that you have what they need. I have this experience, and expertise, so that you don’t have to. You can stay focused on your cause. My experience means that I can be your shortcut to information and results.

WHAT IF YOU HAD SOMEONE WHO UNDERSTOOD MARKETING . . . AND HAS ALREADY ACHIEVED GREAT RESULTS?

Sometimes it’s hard to look at your nonprofit or social enterprise objectively. But fresh eyes can see issues and opportunities that you might miss. And I can work with your existing strategy, or help you develop one. I’ve worked with many nonprofits and social enterprises, and can bring more experience to your organization.

WHAT IF YOU HAD SOMEONE WHO UNDERSTOOD MARKETING . . . HAS ALREADY ACHIEVED GREAT RESULTS . . . AND HAD THE TIME THAT YOU DON’T?

I’m available for your special projects, so that you don’t have to pay for a full-time employee to do this kind of work. I'll do all the dirty work, and I'll also be there to explain the process to you so you have a full understanding of how this launch fits under your marketing umbrella, and how to capitalize on it from start to finish. I’m giving you the ability to get more done.

WHAT DO YOU THINK IT'S WORTH TO . . .

  • Find a partner with similar, but different, experience?

  • Have a launch sequence that you’re proud of—even excited about?

  • Be relieved from the pressure of having to figure out everything out alone, or without expert advice?

  • Achieve great results without all the effort falling on your shoulders?

  • Create, or incorporate, a strategy for your launch?

  • Receive more sales or donations?

HERE’S WHAT A FEW OTHERS HAD TO SAY ABOUT MY WORK:

Duane.png

“When I was relaunching our website, Habitat.org, I needed to redevelop most of the key content on our highest trafficked web pages. Kristi was the perfect copywriter for the job who worked with me to find the right tone to make our most valuable pages come alive. I was very pleased with her work, and I plan to hire her again when the opportunity arises.”

- Duane Bates, Social Media and Content Marketing Strategist

"Kristi Porter is an endless source of knowledge. She has helped Dr. Bombay’s and The Learning Tea with strategy and branding. She has also helped us clean up our website and given us tons of great ideas on how to find donors and partners for our project. This is a woman who is constantly in the know about everything from strategy and development to the business trends on social media. She will always go the extra mile. Aside from her ingenious ideas, she is a great human being and a pleasure to work with. And if you weren’t already hiring her, you would want to be her friend."

She’s super easy to work with, and is accessible and competitive in pricing for what she offers. We love her, and are super thankful for what she’s added to our business.”

A LITTLE BIT ABOUT YOUR PERSONAL WORDSMITH

I'm Kristi Porter, and I started Signify to provide writing, consulting and strategy services to nonprofits and for-profit organizations with a social mission, primarily through copywriting, marketing, and business communications. I also teach solopreneuers and small businesses how to incorporate philanthropy and giving strategies.

My clients come to me (and come back) because I speak their language, and understand their work. I have been around nonprofits all my life, and have been part of the social justice community since 2006. I've also worked at both for- and non-profits, so I understand both sides of the coin.

I believe that cause-focused organizations like yours are the future of business. You're proof that companies can both make money and do good. And I'm here to help you get noticed and grow. When you succeed, we all win.

FAQ’S

I don’t need five emails. Do you have a smaller package available?

Many of the small businesses that I work with aren’t consistent in emailing their list. So, a couple of the emails may be used to “warming up” the audience before the sales emails begin if you fit that category. If not, my suggestion is still a five-part email sequence, which is quite common for a sales sequence.

Do you offer payment plans?

A $500 deposit is required to hold space on my calendar. After that, this whole process moves fairly quickly, so typically half of the fee is due upfront once we’re ready to get rolling, and the other half is due when I wrap up. But if you need to stretch that out a bit, I’m more than happy to talk about dividing payments further, depending on your situation.

How long will this take?

Once I get your initial email, I’ll be in touch shortly to set up a date for our initial strategy session. After that happens (which should be a lot of fun), I’ll get to work on your launch copy and marketing timeline. The typical timeframe is around four weeks for you to see your first draft of the whole shebang. From there, we’ll work on any revisions, and schedule a final session to make sure you’re good to go.

What if I don’t like my copy?

I’ve yet to encounter this problem with a client. And I’ve included two rounds of edits for us to work through any wording that makes you uneasy. I’m confident I can provide you with phrases, sentences, and paragraphs that you’ll love.
